A - I have a 640K ADSL connection to my home. I happen to live in an area where this service is available. The network in my house is constantly connected to the Internet. I configured a Linux box that runs a FTP and HTTP server.

Q - Where did you get the music?

A - I have spent a while searching for and downloading music from the Internet. Thankfully there are many people that are willing to make their MP3 collections available to others. DSL and a nice windows FTP client (LeechFTP) make things a bit quicker. An even nicer "mp3 leaching" program is wget. The windows version is here. Most Linux distributions come with wget.

Q - Can I download more music from you?

A - Yes! I prefer to transfer files via FTP. Send me an e-mail if you would like an account on my FTP server.

Q - What software do you use?

A - Free software.

A - Good ones.
